About GNDU
GNDU, also known as Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, was established in 1969. The university is approved by UGC and has received the NAAC accreditation with ‘A++’ Grade. GNDU is a government university having regional campuses in Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Fattu Dhinga, and Sathiala. GNDU is among the top north Indian universities with a score of 3.85 out of 4.0 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

GNDU Courses and Admission 2025
GNDU courses are offered through the university's 14 departments of education namely Economics and Business, Arts and Social Science, Engineering and Technology, Life Sciences, Language, Science, Law, Physical Education and others.
More than 110 courses are offered by GNDU Amritsar including B.Tech, B.Sc, B.Pharm, B.Com, B.Ed, LLB, MA, M.Com, MCA, M.Ed, M.Tech, and others. The GNDU fee structure for each course is different and can be paid in easy installments. The GNDU B.Tech fee ranges between Rs 82,000 to Rs 2,57,375 subject to the specialisation, annually. On the other hand, the annual MBA fees at GNDU is between Rs 82,485 to Rs 1,83,475 depending on the specialisation.

GNDU BTech programme comes with an annual tuition fee of Rs 4,70,000. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects and secured at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST categories) in their qualifying exam. GNDU admission is offered either based on merit or on the basis of the entrance examination. The university accepts JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions and NATA scores for B.Arch admissions. Moreover, for B.Ed admissions, the scores of the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) are considered. Candidates willing to pursue an M.Tech course at GNDU Amritsar shall have a valid GATE score. On the other hand, GNDU admission to the M.Phil or PhD programme is based on the entrance exam followed by the qualification of merit list.
GNDU Open and Distance Learning admissions are offered for students willing to pursue their education in online mode. The university has been granted permission for an online/distance learning programme by the Distance Education Bureau, UGC, New Delhi. Admission to the online/distance learning programme is offered based on the merit of the last qualifying examination.

GNDU Scholarships
GNDU scholarship is offered to meritorious students. The Punjab government also offers post-metric scholarships, national scholarships, state merit scholarships and non-Hindi speaking scholarships to the students of the university. Along with these scholarships, the PwD scholarships are offered to disabled students.
At the start of the academic year, merit-cum-means scholarships are also awarded to freshly admitted students in the main campus, associated colleges, constituent colleges and regional campuses. Students from rural parts of Punjab who attended government-run or government-aided schools are given preference for the GNDU Amritsar scholarships.
